Carbon City Lights

I’m the lead singer of Carbon City Lights, an indie rock band from San Luis Obispo, so this one is personal. I built the band’s website and moved it off Squarespace onto WordPress, with a WooCommerce store for merch.

The home page has the next show, the latest song, the videos, and the mailing list. Upcoming shows come in from Bandsintown, and the newest single gets its own spot on the page. The Lightkeepers newsletter gives people first access to shows and new music, and there’s a press kit for venues and media.

For a bigger show, one setting in the theme updates the site banner, the home page, the shows page, and the pop-up together. I also run the band’s Meta ads and analytics.

My favorite detail is the back-to-top button, a little cassette that rewinds.
